1/2" regular
The standard cut for the majority of hockey players. It gives you the ideal balance between solid bite in turns and smooth glide down the ice.
1/2" FIRE
Features a flat-bottom cut providing razor-sharp grip while boosting glide speed. Highly recommended for skilled skaters wanting aggressive edges.
5/8" regular
A slightly shallower hollow favoured by adult players or heavier skaters looking for effortless glide and smoother stops without edge catching.

Fast 15-minute turnaround
Sharpening a pair of skates takes only about 15 minutes on the Sparx machine. If you are dropping off a single pair, you are welcome to wait right here, or run a quick neighbourhood errand. If there are multiple pairs in line, you can easily pick them up later the same day.
Simple drop-off and cash payment
Text ahead or send an email to arrange dropping your skates off at our home or nearby at the local outdoor rink. Either my dad or I will be there to greet you. We charge just $5 per pair, with cash preferred upon pick-up.
